THE CORE PREMISE

In Sapience, you do not simply manage a colony. You oversee a biological experiment where Natural Selection is the ultimate arbiter.

You begin with three founding clans, each defined by distinct genetic traits:

• The Shade Clan: Adapted for the dark; superior nocturnal vision.
• The Thorn Clan: Biological strikers; high speed and lethal force.
• The Hale Clan: Resilient diplomats; high immunity and social influence.

From there, you lose control over what your people become. Environment, disease, and conflict dictate the path. By Year 30, your tribe will have drifted into genetic territories you never planned—because nature doesn't care about your blueprints.

SYSTEM MECHANICS (EARLY ACCESS)

True Genetic Inheritance

• 160 Real Human Genes: Mapped directly to biological markers such as MC1R (pigmentation), COMT (pain threshold), and MSTN (muscle density).
• Mendelian Logic: Full simulation of dominant/recessive alleles, 224 gene values per pawn, and stochastic mutations at birth.
• Deep Analytics: A built-in dashboard tracks gene drift, population demographics, and resource trends across decades of simulation.
• Phenotype Expression: Beyond stats, visual traits like skin color and "Monet" hair mutations allow for selective breeding of unique ethnic lineages.

Autonomous Colony Intelligence

• 4D Utility AI: Pawns operate on a 30-behavior scoring system (Needs × Environment × Genetics × Culture). They eat, sleep, and socialize based on their innate biological drives.
• Knowledge Decay & Transfer: Technology is not a global unlock. If the one person who knows how to make fire dies without teaching the others, that knowledge is lost.
• Intergenerational Grudges: Social conflicts escalate from bickering to lethal combat. Relationships decay over time, and tribal grudges can persist through genetic lineages.

Survival & Selection Pressure

• Anatomical Combat: 21 hit locations with 6-tier severity. Combat speed and dodge chances are strictly tied to a pawn's agility genes.
• Environmental Sieve: Harsh winters and plagues are not just obstacles; they are filters. They actively purge weak alleles from your gene pool.
• Automated Mobilization: The tribe functions as a collective. When a child is threatened, the entire colony responds based on kinship-weighted AI.

DEVELOPMENT STATUS: PHASE 1 (STONE AGE)

The current build is a stable, 99-year-tested tribal survival experience. It features full genetic simulation, autonomous AI, ironman saves, and background simulation that continues even when the window is inactive.
